About RSM

Reliable Source Music is an established UK music production and publishing company that specialises in providing music to media professionals for use in their productions.  We provide music for tv, video, radio, advertising, film, multimedia and corporate use, either off the shelf (production music), or written to order (bespoke music).

RSM Production Music Library

Production music, also known as library music or stock music, provides the benefits of known cost and a simple licensing procedure.  Using music from our library will help keep your production in budget and on schedule.  Our extensive library of broadcast-quality production music has comprehensive search facilities to help you quickly find the music you need.  Browse by category (urban, classical, sound effects etc.) or by album (around 70 titles), or search by keywords to find the soundtrack for your next production. Take a listen to our production music sampler to get a quick overview of the wide variety of music available from our library.

Bespoke Music Production

If you need music tailored for a specific requirement, or written outright for purpose, we have a wealth of experience in managing bespoke music projects, and a working relationship with many reputable composers.  See the menu link for more information.

Why Register?

You can browse and audition mp3 clips of our entire music catalogue without registering, but will not be able to download tracks.  Registered users can audition full-length tracks and download broadcast quality sound files (48K WAV) for immediate use.  Once registered, you can also create and manage 'projects' - enabling you to build tracklists for multiple briefs and return to them at a later date for further auditioning and downloading.  So register now to use these facilities.

Licensing

All licensing of the RSM catalogue in the UK is through the MCPS.  Any tracks used in a production should be licensed at www.mcps.co.uk/productionmusic.  If you are new to production music, there is also a wealth of information at the MCPS site, including a downloadable rate card.  Outside of the UK, licensing of our production music is coordinated through our international representatives.  See the menu link for more information.
